Our Board

Timo Hannay is Managing Director of Digital Science. He previously worked at our sister organisation, Nature Publishing Group, where he was director of Nature.com. In his former lives, Timo was a research neurophysiologist (in Oxford and Tokyo), journalist (at The Economist and Nature) and management consultant (at McKinsey & Co.). He has a longstanding passion for all things Japanese, especially the films of Hayao Miyazaki and the music of Ringo Shiina.

Steve Scott currently serves as Head of Research Tools at Digital Science. He’s worked for a number of startups – most recently Joost – is a product manager at heart and enjoys cycling and malt whiskey, but not at the same time.

Lana Tavor is a corporate IP lawyer with Tulchinsky Stern Marciano Cohen Levitski & Co. She holds an LLB and a B.Com. from the University of Melbourne, Australia. Lana loves vegemite and spending time at the beach.

Jonathan founded BioData out of his passion to integrate technology and science. In addition to founding the company, Jonathan is also the Chief Technologist of the company. Jonathan holds a B.A. in Computer Science from the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya and a Masters degree in Biotechnology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. As a scientific researcher Jonathan worked on enhancing the nutritional value of plants through molecular engineering and plastid transformation. Jonathan is also one of the founders of The BioExecutive Forum, a non-profit organization founded by and for executives from the Israeli Biomed industry.
